The Japanese town of Naka may hold a solution to humanity’s climate crisis as well as its future energy needs. While the technology is still in its infancy, scientists at the world’s biggest experimental nuclear fusion reactor have been investigating the feasibility of such plants as a source of safer, large-scale and carbon-free energy.
